Kindle For Android

Kindle App Coming To Android This Summer

Do you enjoy reading books on a tiny 3.2 inch screen? Well if you said yes then your in luck because Amazon has finally released it Kindle application for the Android Operating System and its not crippled in anyway (Steve Jobs, hint hint).

New Kindle Android App

What started as the software for Amazon’s device with the same name later became an app for both the iPhone and later the iPad. Many people enjoyed the Kindle software over the iPads own book reader because of its cross platforming ability and PC support. If an iPad or iPhone user also had a Kindle they now had the ability to read all of their books and magazines on each platform with out having to pay again. The ability to not have to pay again didn’t sit well with Mr. Jobs so Steve and his evil army crippled the app in one major way, they disabled the buy feature on both devices (Apple only allows you to spend Apple money). Now Android gets a chance to fix the wrongs that Apple applied to the Kindle app.

When Amazon began developing a Kindle app for Android we all had one question. Will you be able to purchase reading material straight for you Android phone or tablet? The answer is yes! The Android OS allows Amazon to develop with the freedom it needs to succeed and now when the Android tablets start flowing in they will have a great bookstore better than Apples so its a win-win. This is a great selling point for anyone already using a kindle or kindle software. Why switch to Apple and loose all of the book you have already purchased? The partnership between Google’s Android and Amazon’s Kindle will ensure that the Android OS continues to grow above and beyond anyones expectations.

The Kindle app is said to be ready by the summer of this year.

Here are a few notes from Amazon regarding the first version of Kindle for Android.
